A town built out in two directions
Lincoln’s drywall work leans newer than its Blackstone Valley neighbors. The subdivisions that grew up around Lincoln Woods State Park and along the Twin River corridor are drywall-framed single-family homes, many with basements still unfinished and waiting to become a playroom, office, or guest space. That’s the lane Lincoln owns for us: new-hang framing, additions, and basement build-outs in housing stock that’s straightforward drywall from the studs out. It’s a different starting point than the mill-village towns nearby, where the first call is almost always about old plaster. Lincoln has that older stock too, in Manville, Albion, and Lonsdale, mill villages that grew up around the same Blackstone Valley textile mills as neighboring towns, with worker housing built before 1940.
